Green Hydrogen for Education and Safety, Rohr Germany

1 x OutdoorCab (2 × Electrolyser, 1 × Dryer, 1 × Water Tank Module)

Location

Rohr, Germany

What was installed?

1 x OutdoorCab (2 Electrolyser, 1 Dryer, 1 WTM)

For the hydrogen project at BTZ Rohr, implemented by the plant engineering company EAW, H2 Core Systems delivered a compact, turnkey Outdoor HydroCab solution designed for practical training and real-world application.

The system integrates two electrolyzers, a water treatment module (WTM) including integrated peripheral and safety systems (WPS), and a 2 m³ GH₂ storage tank. This configuration enables on-site hydrogen production, safe storage, and direct utilization within a controlled training environment.

The hydrogen generated is used specifically for hands-on education and safety training – including realistic live flame demonstrations. This approach allows trainees, skilled professionals, and especially local fire brigades to gain practical experience in handling hydrogen safely and responsibly under real operating conditions.

As an institution of the Handwerkskammer Südthüringen, BTZ Rohr plays a key role in qualifying skilled workers and emergency responders. Projects like this contribute directly to building the expertise required for the safe and successful ramp-up of the hydrogen economy.

For H2 Core Systems, this project underlines a fundamental principle: hydrogen technology must not only be engineered – it must be experienced in practice.
