Collaboration with Euromekanik for Telia
At H2 Core Systems, we are proud to contribute to an innovative project that demonstrates how hydrogen technology is shaping the future of energy. Our Indoor HydroCab was successfully delivered to Euromekanik and deployed in a unique pilot project in Sweden, realized by Telia and the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS).
The Project
At a Telia mobile base station in Roslagen, Sweden, the project explored how hydrogen, in combination with solar panels and batteries, can extend backup power supply and ensure continuous operation of critical infrastructure.
Our Solution
Using the HydroCab system, we provided a sustainable and emissions-free energy concept:
- On-site hydrogen production and storage: Excess electricity is used for electrolysis, generating hydrogen, which is stored in a high-pressure tank.
- Energy on demand: In case of a power outage, stored hydrogen is converted into electricity via fuel cells, ensuring up to 110 days of continuous operation for the base station.
Project Highlights
🔹 Resilience: Backup power for extended periods, even during prolonged outages.
🔹 Sustainability: A completely emissions-free solution, powered by renewable energy and hydrogen technology.
🔹 Scalability: The solution can be adapted to other sites and operators.
Technical Details
🔹 Solar panels: 26 kWp
🔹 Fuel cell: 10 kW capacity
🔹 Hydrogen storage: 100 kg at 350 Bar, equivalent to 3.3 MWh of energy
